Individual Allstar Meet is Sunday August 3rd.
Individual
Allstar Meet preliminary seedings will be posted late July 26th or
early July 27th. Final
Seedings will probably be posted Monday July 28th.
Please submit divisional results no later than 2pm Saturday July
26th. Please do not change the name
of the meet from the template!!
Note:
Due
to relatively low numbers of swimmers who have achieved allstar times in the
following strokes, we may increase the allstar times based on Divisional
results:
Girls: 8&U Breast, 9-10 Back and 9-10 Breast
Boys: 8&U Back, 8 & U Breast, 8&U Fly,
9-10 Fly and 15-18 IM
If
you or your swimmers have times that are near the current allstar times, please
check the postings carefully.
Note:
It
is very important to scratch if you do not plan to swim at this meet, even if
your preliminary seedings are in the 20s or 30s – we would like to allow all
swimmers who can swim in the meet rather than have empty lanes.
Remember:
Individual Allstar Meet Scratches
are due by 6 pm Sunday, July 27th. This is true regardless of whether the “preliminary”
seedings could be posted.
Scratches must be submitted
via email to: Automation@mcsl.org
Scratches
must include:
The name of the swimmer.
The name and abbreviation of the team.
A contact e-mail and phone.
A valid return e-mail address.
The stroke (s) that the swimmer does not
wish to swim.
Scratches
that are hypothetical, involve “what-if” scenarios, are contingent, or are
improperly submitted (e.g. “I want to swim back only”) will not be accepted,
nor will we notify the senders. Please
refer to the handbook (pages 56-57) regarding the seeding process. If it is important that your swimmer swims a
particular stroke, they should scratch out of other strokes – it is common for
higher level scratches and seeds to move swimmers several places, and likely
into other strokes. Please double check
your scratches!
